Classic Music Trivia - Show #17 - Introducing "Switchboard" and a prize round!

Introducing a new game called "Switchboard".

As I mentioned in Show 15, one of the things I want to try with CMT is a random prize round, emphasizing again that the prizes would be good ones – prizes you’d want to play for.  Well in today’s episode I’ve done just that.  But remember I said you’d have to answer some questions to win, because the lucky winner will get either a custom-made slip-over shirt crafted by your friends here at CMT, or a $20 gift voucher from Amazon.com to spend any way you like – we’re not certain yet which one, but I’ll let you know for sure on the next episode.

Also as promised last week, I have another new game for us to play, and it’s a prize round called “Switchboard”.

For this game, I presented 2 sets of clips and you have to connect a clip from one set (let’s call it “Column A”) to its matching clip in the second set (let’s call it “Column B”). Since this is a random prize round, I’ll collect all the entries and reveal the correct answers in Show 19.  This will allow you time to e-mail me your answers to as many pairings as you can.  The one who gets the most pairings right wins the prize.  And in the case of multiple winners, a random drawing will be held on Show 19 to determine the winner.

So in today’s “Switchboard”, I have 5 song titles that appear once in each column (that’s Column A and Column B). For example, if I were to play Olivia Newton-John's "Suddenly" in Column A song 1, and Billy Ocean's "Suddenly" in Column B song 4, you would e-mail in the answer “Column A song 1 and Column B song 4 are both named 'Suddenly" while also providing the respective artist names.  Get it?  And make sure you have all your answers in one e-mail as I’ll only accept one entry per person.  Alright then, best of luck!
